Tao
Venetian finally gets back into the serious nightlife scene with
Tao, the Vegas version of the popular New York hotspot. Not that
Vivid, also at the big V isn't hot, but it is small. At more than
10,000 square feet, small Tao is not. The club is part of a $20
million entertainment space that also includes a restaurant and
lounge. A 20 foot Buddha watches over the venue and its two main
club rooms - The Temple and Emperor's Ballroom. The lounge area
is located on the first floor, while the club is upstairs. A long,
narrow balcony overlooking the Strip is accessible from upstairs.
VIP skyboxes feature amenities such as espresso machines, secure
purse drawers, and large banquettes. |

Who is there and when to go to your Las
Vegas nightclub.
This upstairs-downstairs venue offers lots of room to wander, making
it perfect for the conventioneers who comprise so much of Venetian's
guest book. But the little added bonus of private valet service also
helps this club attract more than its share of the locals. Although
it is fairly new, Tao is already gaining steam as a late night rendezvous
for the Vegas in-crowd.
